i hate COPS...
 

i am soooooo upset.

i am up here are marymount-fordham university in tarrytown and i was sitting in the car with my girlfriend and we were eating lunch. a police car pulls over as i am reclined in my seat with my foot propped up on the dash.

he steps out the car and asks to see my license. i am ask him is there a problem and he tells me yes.

he says that security officers called gave them my license plate because i and my girlfriend were harassing the students at the school.

mind you the stretch that the university is located on is deserted. there is no one walking around on the college.

of course i was like what?!?!?!?!

then he asks me if i am intoxicated. i tell him no. he asks me, what is in the cup. i told him it was coca-cola when popeye's. he actually looks in my cup and smells it. :mad:

so you know i am pissed now.

then he asked me if i've been smoking weed. i am like what?!?!? he said there were some flakes on my pants.

the freaking flakes with crumbs from me eating chicken strips in my car. :mad: :mad:

then i asked him, was the reason he asked me if i was smoking weed because i have loccs or was it the facted that i had on one of my collector bon marley t-shirts. dude, said maybe. :mad:

needless to say, all i was doing was coming to visit maymount-fordham to pursue some info on grad school. he let me go and asked me were he can get a shirt like the one i had. :mad:

i think that tarrytown can kiss my ass.


funny thing i get harassed like this alot because of my loccs. it's the same thing, just because i have loccs. cops assume i am the dancehall queens of ganja.

anyone else constant harassed by one- time?

I'm really sorry that this guy was a dick and he did this to you.

Cops seem to think that all persons under the age of 25 are either drunk or stoned...all the time. That's the first question they ask you when they pull you over, no matter what the reason was that they pulled you over in the first place--"You been drinking?" "You high?" It ticks me off, too, to be honest. Once a cop pulled me over for not having my headlights all the way on (hey, the street was so well-lit I couldn't tell!) and became totally convinced that I had to be drunk because I happened to be wearing a cocktail dress. He gave me the 3rd degree, hoping to trip me up asking all these questions about where my parents lived, where I lived, what I'd been doing that night, why I had a Vera Bradley overnight bag in my truck, why I was out on the road, where I was going, etc., and then became frustrated when my "drunk" self, who was completely sober, answered everything correctly. Since he couldn't get me for a DUI, he wrote me a ticket instead. Jerk. :p

I'm gonna ask my cop friends why they treat cute girls like that. ;)

I think it's the power trips...

I know a kid that I graduated HS with that just became a cop. Needless to say I can easily see this kid doing shit like that just b/c it gives him an ego boost.

I really hope you are joking. That's like saying to a rape victim, "well you were wearing that really sexy dress...I'm sure the guy just thought you really did want to have sex".

Actually it's not. How is this guy a victim? The cop was DOING HIS JOB. Let's review:


* SOMEBODY called in this guy's plate number. There was a problem to start with.

* They were sitting in the car, loitering near a school on the side of an otherwise deserted public road.

* The cop asked a number of completely reasonable questions: have you been drinking? doing drugs? etc. -- reasonable especially considering the cop had a complaint related to THAT PLATE NUMBER and these two are just kind of hanging out on the side of a deserted road.

* Buddha admits, yeah, he uses pot.



Okay so what's the problem here?

The cop assumed Buddha uses pot? HE ADMITS THAT IT'S TRUE! That Buddha thinks the cop may have based this assumption on the way he dresses/grooms? Buddha admits this has been a problem in the past -- if it bothers you, change it.

This is like people who speed, then get pissed they were pulled over. You were speeding! And then you were a dick to the cop, and you're shocked you got a ticket?

The cop was doing his job, which was to investigate a complaint. You're not going to convince me a pot-smoking guy just chillin at the side of the road in a car with a plate number that's been called in as harassing kids at a school is in the right on this one.
