I had a question, I am in charge of planning this year formal and I wanted to give out funny awards compared o our more serious awards (Sister of the Year, New Sister of the Year and Alumni of the Year Awards). But I'm running out of ideas....I have some...

Sister most likely to be at the bar rather then the meeting (she has to miss some meeting because of class, but she enjoys drinking)

Sister most likely to wear a hoodie in the summer (her boyfriend gives her hickies all the time)

I don't know what other funny awards I can give out...any ideas?

At our formal we always do awards that are funny superlatives for each sister. Lots of times it ends up being that no one else except for us gets them. In the past we've done stuff like "Sister Most Likely to be the Chipmunk's biggest fan" (likes a guy name Theodore, "Sister most likely to waste all of her money on housing" (always in her boyfriend's room).

We call them the Paper Plate awards...they're just filled out on paper plates by our Spirit Chairperson.

We are thinking about the "Hobo Award" for our newly elected president, because she is always in her PJ's and taking a nap.

the "Night Owl Award" to our member who somehow manages to go out till 4 AM twice a week and still make her 8 am class.

there could be the "Linda Blair" award to a sister who got a little over her limit once or twice.

there's the "Most Likely to cause an accident" award to those sisters who scare the crap out of you when theyre in charge of a vehicle (this could go to several people....)

the "Saturday Night Fever" award to that sister who studies every single night, including the weekends.

We do ours by formal theme. This year, we did camping tools. One of our girls was the tent-pitcher(our brother group has made numerous comments about her), I was the campfire songbook(music minor), one girl was the cooler, because you fill her with beer...stuff like that.

We're not a local, but we do funny awards at our formals too. We usually have stuff like "Most Ghetto (for the sister that wears stuff like tims and baggy jeans)", "Most Stylish", "Dresses Like a Bum", "Biggest XYZ Lover" and Biggest ABC Lover" (cuz there's two fraternities that we hang out with the most and some girls really favor one over the other), "Most SOPi Spirited" (for the sister that's always in letters AND always comes out to every event), "Scariest Sister" (for the sister that's scary upon first impression/until you get to know her), "Best Dancer", "Biggest Flirt", "Biggest Klutz"

Give out an award for Best Big/Lil Sis duo.

Other awards I've seen:

Biggest Bookworm
Dance Machine
Angel (someone who is always doing stuff for others.)
Loudest
Biggest Fan (similar to most spirited)
Cutie
Biggest Flirt
Most likely not to remember formal (always a kicker)
Most Desirable (One that all the guys flock to)
Innocent... but (one that plays the angel but has a secret "bad girl" side)

And we have ones for the new members as well.

You could always have one for "New Member of the Year" or "New Member of the Semester". We have an award for our newly initiated girls and we call it "Neo of the Year".

The NM awards are pretty similar to the active awards, except only NMs can get them.

Most Dedicated and Most Spirited and Crazy come to mind.
