NYC teacher sleeps with student, gets pregnant, still gives student a 65 in her class
 

A Manhattan high-school teacher slept with her student for months and got pregnant with his child — but gave him only a barely passing 65 in social-studies class, according to a bombshell report obtained by The Post.

The 18-year-old boy toy from the HS for Health Professions and Human Services shrugged off the grade, but couldn't forgive his teacher, Rhianna Ellis, 25, for reneging on her promise to abort the pregnancy.

The details of the sordid 10-month affair — which included romps at a Queens motel and "one last time" in Ellis' Queens home — were chronicled in a recent letter from Special Schools Investigator Richard Condon to Chancellor Joel Klein.

A spokeswoman for Condon's office confirmed the authenticity of the letter, but declined to comment on the case, which was closed in late February.

The teen, whom investigators describe only as "Student B," said he had sex with Ellis four times a week at the onset of their affair in August 2003 — settling for three times a week as the relationship wound down in March 2004, according to the letter.

By the end of May, the student had broken up with his teacher because she was "jealous, possessive and paranoid," but not before engaging in a final tryst at her home — with disastrous consequences.

The student told probers that Ellis called him in June to tell him that she was pregnant with his child, investigators said. When he blew up in anger and suggested she have an abortion, Ellis allegedly agreed.

Just curious.. do you consider that low or high? (That's about what a teacher with a few years experience makes in Michigan).

did she fail him so that she can sleep with him for another year? what a hootch!

come to new york and work in at george washington high school in washington heights and pray that your car is still in it's parking space when school is over.

or...

have a talk with one of the bloods after you've given him a bad grade for not coming to class and see what happens.

or...

walk through a metal detector every morning, go to security and see how many weapons are confiscated.

or...

don't stand to close to a window in a class room. you might get pushed out by a student if you ask him to settle down in class.


they don't pay us teachers enough!

I was thinking the same thing. But things tend to be a tad bit calmer (not by much) in Brooklyn then it is in the Bronx

We weren't allowed to wear the color red when I went to school in Brooklyn :(

although i work in a high school with teens that are psychotropic meds and every other day i am threatened to be stabbed, kicked, slapped, beat up or shot.

i still love what i do.

i've been investigated for restraining kids, that have fought or pose a danger to others or themselves by the state. i have had several allegations that i beat up kids. *so not true*

i work in queens, staten, bronx, and manhattan. the worse being the bronx and certain parts of manhattan.

still love what i do. and i like getting paid for what i do.

there are certainly not enough teachers around to do what some teachers do.
