'Big Brother' host Julie Chen marries CBS president Les Moonves

Any Big Brother viewers hoping that CBS might replace series host Julie Chen anytime soon had better stop holding their breath. Chen, who also doubles as co-host of the network's The Early Show morning program, quietly wed CBS president Les Moonves in a Thursday, December 23 sunset ceremony in Mexico.

According to The Associated Press, the 34-year-old Chen wore an ivory gown designed by Reem Acra during the ceremony. Only 30 friends and family attended the wedding, which took place at a private home in Acapulco. After the ceremony the couple honeymooned at Cabo San Lucas' ritzy Las Ventanas resort.

News of the couple's wedding had been expected for some time, with reports of their upcoming wedding first emerging in July.

According to reports, the pesky fact that the 55-year-old CBS president was still technically married to Nancy, his previous wife of 24 years, had prevented the ceremony from occurring earlier. Earlier this month, Moonves successfully petitioned a Los Angeles judge grant him a divorce before finalizing the divorce's alimony, child support and property division details, finally clearing the way for him to marry Chen.

Although Nancy Moonves only filed for divorce in April 2003, rumors of a relationship between Moonves and Chen predated the filing by several years, dating back to Moonves' defense of Chen's performance on Big Brother 1 back in 2000. Chen and Moonves had purchased a Beverly Hills home together earlier this year.

What did Chen do on the first season of Big Brother for someone to come to her defense? I missed that season. In fact, I didn't start watching it until the X-Factor season.

So that's why she has a job? I unfortunately watched the first season of that horrible show and she was just awful.

Just generally sucked at announcing and interviewing and wore sleazy clothes. hello camel toe!

What's really bad is Howard Stern thinks she's hot. I hope he's being uber sarcastic on this one.

Yeah, BB sucks donkeys. If I was trapped in that house, I would probably leave of my own free will. With no internet, TV or radio, and only the same ugly mugs to talk to, day in and day out, I would go ape$hit crazy. Seriously.....
