DU Survives Fall from Window (U of Washington - Seattle)

Another fall, this time at the U. of Washington:

Edited to apologize for sloppy spelling of "survives."

"It's happened again. A University of Washington Student is in the hospital after falling out of a window at a frat house and alcohol may be a factor."

Broken record time.

One of the biggest causes for liability insurance claims at fraternity houses is "falls from high places." (It might even be the biggest -- I can't quite remember)

Almost 100% of the falls are alcohol related.

Not the only thing broken, I'm sure.

I remember having to deal with a brother that was deliberately jumping out of a window onto a pile of mattresses - except - he missed on the last jump.

Voila - had to go to the hospital.

Gee - the good old days of being chapter advisor....

Looks like the more things change, the more they stay the same.

too bad that a percentage of the world has missed the fact that the earth is painful when you land on it.

Perhaps they're forgetting to teach about gravity in colleges these days?

DA is getting predictable. As soon as I read the first post in the thread, I thought "DA is going to post with his stat about falls" and voila, it was there. How sad is it that this happens often enough that we know people's response to it already?

Yup. Same old stat, maybe new audience.

They say that in order for information to be absorbed, it has to be repeated 7 times. 7 times, can you believe that? 7! 7 times, that's amazing! Of all numbers, 7. Not 6, but 7! 7 times, folks.

How many times has it been said, Delt ;).

This really sucks for DU and the university. Hope everything works out for the best and that it doesn't happen again.

(edited for poor wording)
