Philanthropy Night
Hey everyone. I am the philanthropy night chair for the upcoming year, and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for a craft we could make to take to the children in the hospital. It has to be reasonably priced, easy, but take at least 30 mins. to complete.
In the past, we have made blankets, bears, bags... I'm kind of at a loss... Thanks for your help in advance :) |
For the past 3 years, we have done ceiling tiles. We've gotten a bunch of packages of new ceiling tiles from our local hospital and then had the girls come in and paint on them. After, we take them back to the hospital and they put them up in the childrens' wing. It's really cheap, because all you have to get is paint and some sponge brushes.
This year we are going to do courage bracelets. They will have a lion on them(made of foam) and they fit over the hospital bracelet. It will have a quote about courage on it as well. That's all I've got, but hope it helps. |
we always just get some string and some beads and make bracelets. it's cheap and easy to do, and it's not a problem to make that last at least 30 minutes. the girls always seem to like it. gives them a chance to get a little creative.

We used to make IV bags. All you need are crayons, markers, any kind of cut out (we always had lion manes pre-cut), glue sticks, and paper lunch bags. For the bags you can get different colors but we just used brown since, well, lions are brown. So easy to do!

Thanks for all of your help. I think we've decided on making stationary kits and flower/sports pens.
