toning up and working out
 
Ok, so I want to tone up. I have a pilates DVD, tae bo and abs tapes but I'm bored. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fun way to tone up or work out?

I just go the the rec center with friends. I end up being there for like three hours b/c we bs and check out girls about as much...or more than work out, but it does the job.

I go to the gym now at least 4 days a week for 1 hour (or more) and I have also started to eat a lot healthier. It's not like instant results overnight but I am starting to see small results.

I've been going to Curves for the last 2 years. I've plateaued since I've started but I did drop 13 pounds, 1-1/2 pant sizes and since then, I've gained weight back, but I'm certain it's muscle as my pant size hasn't gone back up and in fact my smaller pants are even beginning to get big on me is convincing of such!

Run and be sure to lift weights twice a week.

I agree with valkyrie.

Throw the tapes in the garbage can, throw on some shoes and hit the trails, or the sidewalk if the trails aren't safe.

do SOMETHING every day. It'll help get you in the habit, that's what i've been doing. I know you need to rest your body sometimes, but if feel so much better if I do at least a little something every day. If I don't feel like doing a real workout, i'll at least take a power walk for at least a 1/2 hour and then do a 10 minute ab video or something. Variety is important!

I run, lift and take step and pilates classes...much better than the tapes.

Join a gym (or if you are a student, go to the rec center). Being around people, whether in a class or beside you on the next treadmill, keep you motivated-- and make you leave the house!

I actually used to go to these Aerobic, Step and Pilates classes, and I didn't like them.

I recently bought the Winsor Pilates system and I'm LOVING it!! It is grreat!! :D Imma have a hot sexy body for the summer.
