List the Underground Chapters We Have
 

Wow, I have been on this website for about 3 years now and I have never read anything about underground chapters. It is always nice to hear about new issues and different subjects.

I was wondering if the brothers that are on this website can list some of the underground chapters we have because I find it very interesting. I know some underground chapters myself and have talked to some of the brothers in these chapters, they maintain intact without the help of nationals and the majority of them maintain a proper ritual and good standards. I think we should look into helping out these chapters but instead we leave them in the dust. At the samw time there are those that tarnish our image and make our fraternity look bad, so I guess the cons overweigh the pros when it comes to how we should treat underground chapters.

Anyway, we have lost a lot of chapters in the state of Virginia, a state that has many prestigious universities with great Greek heritages. Some of the chapters we have lost in the past five years in Virginia are: Richmond, James Madison, William in Mary is on a major probation and Washington and Lee (the school with the highest percentage of greeks is also in a lot of trouble or their chapter may have been revoked). We also have never had a chapter at UVA one of the most prestigious greek university with an archiac history.

I have talked to brothers at James Madison and Richmond, these are both UNDERGROUND CHAPTERS. James Madison has a lot of influential alumni and they have been trying VERY hard to get their charter back, they have a website and the three brothers I met that came down to Tennessee were really good guys that had an extensive knowledge of our fraternity, most impressive undergraduate brothers I have ever met. Richmond, likes being underground and it does not look like they are getting their charter back anytime soon but they are still well respected on their campus, as an undergraduate Lambda Chi Alpha chapter.

Anyway, please list the 15 underground chapters we have because I would like to find out more about them.

Seroiusly, I have never heard of such a thing. I dont know of any in Texas.

The underground IUP chapter Beta- Gamma Zeta chapter , eventually hooked up with Pi Lambda Phi's National. And they are now, oyu guessed it, the beta gamma chapter of PLP. Also I had heard that the Bloomsburg chapter had become both an Acacia and AXP chapter.

Wacky to see other nationals pick up the pieces!
