Arrowgames!!!!

Our chapter's philanthropy is Arrowgames and it starts in a few weeks (April 11) and I am so excited!
Basically every night of the week there is a different game to play (Poker/Euche, Basketball, Volleyball, Kareoke). Each sorority and fraternity can have as many teams as they want participate (the more teams, the more points they get). Also, they get points for other things like wearing letters, dressing up their coaches, and other spirit things. We have an Arrowgames Kind and Queen and its a really good way to promote Greek unity on the campus.
In the past it was just open to the fraternities, but this year all of the sororities are going to get to participate and I think that is so exciting. Not only will it raise more money for our philanthropy, but more people will get to be involved and its like a last event of the year for the whole Greek community.
The other really fun thing is that 2 of us from the sorority get to be coaches for a fraternity or sorority on campus. We are basically there to give them information and stuff, but we get to know other people really well, have cookouts and things with them, and they do fun stuff like dress us up and its a lot of fun!
This is my first year doing it and I am a coach for Chi Omega. One of my bests friends is in that sorority so that will be fun. They are a great group of girls... and already I feel like it has strenghtened our ties with that sorority.. and hopefully it will be true of every group on campus :)

Anyway, I was just excited to share this. Since this is my first year in Pi Phi, I did not realize what a big event Arrowgames is... but guys in fraternities have come up to me telling me how excited they are (i even saw a guy in the library wearing our shirt from last year!) and the girls in other sororities have been telling me how excited they are that they get to participate this year!

Ok so for my updates....

Monday was Poke/Euchre night and it was so much fun! The girls Im coaching played Euchre and they didnt make it to far but they had an awesome time! Of course the guys were pretty competitive but the winner that night was Sigma Phi Epsilon. We basically walked around the whole time serving food and drinks (which is complicated in 4 inch stillettos!) and talking to people and it was a fun night!

Tonight was Basketball. Our team won for the letter compitition! Basically your team tried to get as many of their letters on you in clothing items. They had over 1,000 of their letters on Liz (my co-coach) and over 1,000 on me (we were wearing 12 t shirts, long sleeve shirts, earings, sweatshirts, jackets, pants, shorts, belts, flipflops, socks, hats, sunglasses, you name it we had it on! None of our girls were playing basketball but it was a lot of fun to cheer the guys on! Plus some of their girls came the entire time just to support us even though they werent playing! The last game was Delta Tau Delta and Sig Ep and Sig Ep won again!

Tomorrow is volleyball and we have a team of girls partcipating and they are all excited. They get points for coming and cheering on and wearing our letters so they want us to dress them up.. and they get to dress us up in whatever they want tomorrow so Im excited.. and a little scared!

We also are having a penny war to determine the King and Queen and our team is winning that so far!! Liz and I are hardcore coaches lol :) Thursday is kareoke night and the night we serenade the fraternities that won during the week and annouce the royalty.

It has been hectic every night but sooo much fun and of course we have taken so many pictures!
