Who told you that you won't be able to join a sorority?

What TYPE of sorority do you wish to join?

NPC?
NPHC?
Latina? Multicultural?

Were you the one soliciting info from the NPHC sorority forums?

If you're interested in NPHC membership, this place is NOT the place to seek information. You will be turned away should you choose not to exercise discretion.

Members and non-members alike will tell you that.

Check your Activitie's Office or Dean of Students. There are many multicultural organizations with chapters all over the NYC metro area. Do research online to find the organization that speaks to you, then research membership requirements.

The only student organizations listed on your school's website are:
ACM - Computer Science Society
Touro College Accounting and Business Society
Touro Science Society

It does not appear there are sororities at your school. Your best bet would be to get together with a group of girlfriends and talk about establishing a local women's organization dedicated to community service, scholarship and friendship. Organize a mission statement, and go to the dean of student activities with your concept. Ask him to assist you in the founding of a new student club. You may be able to get funding for your group, depending on the university's policies.
