I'M ENGAGED!!


I'm a week late in telling GC :) He did it on March 20th (our 3 1/2 year anny, heh) on my doorstep of my house as I was about to leave with him on our Spring Break to Daytona Beach :D

I will say that it has a white gold band with a .75 princess cut diamond :)

Oh, another note, the band is HANDMADE, that is, he built his own kiln, bought gold pennyweight and crafted it himself :D The ring itself is pretty damn heavy, he said the first time he cast it, it ran out of gold so he had to do the process all over again when he bought more gold :o The diamond is in a bezel-type setting and when you look at the ring from the side you can see the bottom tip of the diamond (it "floats" above a strip of gold). The band is not the typical band, he decided to show off and do a design, I can't explain it enough to give it justice so I'm just going to have to get pics of it :D

It's nice now to have my own personal jeweler! Ha!

He's actually melting down the yellow gold setting that my stone came in and making a ring (with a 1 ct round garnet) for my mom as her "wedding gift". :D

Plus now, he's doing a couple white gold rings for my Little and GrandLittle, ahh so nice :)
