Relay for Life
 

Hey this is Tyler from the University of Central Florida.

I know far too many people whose lives have been touched by cancer. Chances are, you know them too. That's why I'm participating in relay for life to help raise funds for cancer research

Relay is an overnight event that unites our community in a common effort to raise much-needed funds for cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services. Every year, the funds we raise help bring the American Cancer Society one step closer to eliminating cancer from our lives for good.

If you would like to make a donation to support cancer research you can visit my relay for life web page and donate there. Any donation would be really really appreciated, even if it's only a buck or two.

My wife's youngest sister is in the beginning of her battle with breast cancer, so we as a family are supporting research through an organization she is dealing with.

All efforts are greatly appreciated.

We did this on our campus and it was a great time we raised a lot of money for a good cause and had alot of fun doing it. I would encourge many people to do it.

Bumping because we're doing this for the second year at my school next weekend. Same as TylerG18, if anyone can donate anything at all, please donate it to my relay for life page Last year was the first year that we did it, and we raised $27,000 as a school for the ACS, so we're trying to have a good year again. Question about Relay for Life that maybe other people who've done it before can answer for me: when someone gives you a check, who should the check be made out to? Is it the American Cancer Society or Relay for Life or something else? Someone wanted to give me a donation in the form of a check and I didn't know who it should be made payable to because all of my other donations so far have been credit card ones.
