All sorts of programs, specifically in line with the Five Point Thrust.

This is Greek Life, but if certain people make certain comments this thread will become a nuclear weapon and threaten GC civilization as they know it.

The taliban at it's finest...Like if I said Amy needs to get some sugar cane and lighten up?

We had a program called Delta Night at the Apollo. That was great!

ha ha I don't get into specifics about my chapter or its programs.
I just moderate. I prefer posting in Chit chat.

Do you have a chapter?

My chapter recently held an AKAnomics seminar where information was presented on buying homes, life insurance, wills, savings, etc.

Is that one of AKA's national programs, or was it something your specific chapter created?

That sounds like a great program. In light of the Terri Schiavo case, wills (including living wills & power of attorney documents) are something that no one is too young to have.

Economics is. The program was just held with that in mind.

And I agree that people need to learn about those issues earlier in life, given how it's not guaranteed to you. Especially if they have families that may survive them.

Around '97, my chapter had a similar program for Economic Development. We explicitly did a good credit seminar and talked about the potential "evils" of credit card use.

We have a similar program still in development for Seniors. It teaches about interviewing, budgets, hooks them up with mentor alums, etc.

Tough to put on though if your chapter has only had its charter since '02.

Oh that's a great idea. Would be good to also provide our alum and undergrad chapters with info on Living Wills given all the publicity surrounding the Terry Schiavo case right now.

How so?

My chapter has had its charter since '92 and we have successfully put on such large scale programs with no more than 10 Sorors on the yard at one given time and as little as 2 Sorors.
