I recently went to meet the new president of my alma mater. He is on a tour of major cities to meet with alumni. Our school has had a string of bad president's many very opposed to the Greek system. One was against fraternities because of his experience as an undergrad when his GLO wouldn't admit someone because of their race. The subject of GLO's came up during the new President's speech and I was very glad to hear that he sees them as a important part of the school's social fabric and admits to their power to positively influence students. I was just very glad to hear that he is open minded about the subject and hope that this will help the future of my fraternity and others on campus.

hmmm, that is interesting. it sort of sounds like what is happening at my alma mater. which school is this?

Sounds a bit like mine too, but it wasn't a "string" just one who was there for 10 years.........

We're worried over here in LB b/c our current University President is retiring. He's worked so hard for the Greek system during his tenure here but now, it's up in the air. I guess we'll have to wait & see who the new President is.
I only hope it's someone open-minded & perhaps former Greek!:)
