Hi all! I'm new to this board, actually my question has led me here.

Recently I had a disagreement with one of my friends (who is AXO)who informed me that Lynda Carter is an AZD! Since I had never heard that before, I told her that she must be wrong. My friend insisted that she was right, so I did some research and found several web sites that have Lynda Carter listed as AZD. Is this true? And if so, why is she not mentioned at Nationals?

The same website that claims Lynda Carter is an Alpha Xi Delta also says that Goldie Hawn is as well... I don't believe that either are.

Every fan page I can find for Lynda Carter says that she briefly attended Arizona State. We haven't had a chapter at ASU.

I am quite certain.... a former Miss USA, a successful actor... if she were an Alpha Xi Delta, she would be claimed by Fraternity Headquarters.

We had a chapter of U of A a long time ago. I heard that she was a member of AXiD. In a bunch of my sites I've seen it posted that she is one.

We've never had a chapter at Arizona State (in Tempe).

The chapter at the UofArizona (in Tucson) was open from 1951 - 1961. I have the list of Gamma Gamma initiates and Lynda Carter isn't on it.

Just because it is on a website doesn't make it true. Just because you big sister's big told you that during recruitment doesn't make it true either.

Many of our chapters list her as an Alpha Xi Delta on their webpages because they either heard the rumor somewhere or they saw it listed on another website.

Again, if she were a member, I feel very certain that she would be listed on our National Website and we would proudly claim her.

She went to ASU (briefly), we have no chapter there and haven't ever. Just like Goldie went to American University and we do not and have not had a chapter there. (And I think their careers probably kept them too busy to even think about alumna initiation.)
