All I know is that they are the people who wear those thick black glasses. I know there's more to it... :confused:

ooh! ooh! I went to an ostrich farm last week in Aruba, and they had Emu there as well. Ostriches have two toes and Emu have three - that's how you tell the difference! :D

Within the past five years or so, "emo" has come to describe a lot of pop-punk bands with a darker side a la Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, and their ilk. I think that there's a difference, but usually when you hear people refer to emo within a pop cultural context, that's what they're referring to.



And dude, I was making fun of emo kids before y'all were even born, so don't start. :p

i associate emo with hipsters. the people who wear pumas, thin scarves, etc. and think they know every god damn thing.

And WHO is going to get close enough to them to determine which it is???

I think my brother is emo.

He's got the Buddy Holly glasses, the multi color shoes and listens to all that whiney punk pop music. And he's as thin as a twig.
