Is it going to be a 6-hour musical??? I don't think I could sit there for THAT long!! LOL
|
What the hell can they do with that??? I'd like to see what the bill is for A/V and set design.
|
No.
If everyone was afraid to try to make into a movie for so long, why would anyone think that it could work as a play? And a musical at that. Also, if the movies were a combined 10 hours, and arguably too short, why is a 6 hour play going to do this. Just say "no." |
Saw some clips of rehersal today on TV.... it actually looked interesting...
It's done in sorta the same style as the Lion King - specifically the alterations and costumes designed to mimick "non-human" forms... the guy working on the Nazghul was most impressive up on the stilts and all... |

I saw an article today in the paper about it but I didn't read it. Don't get me wrong I loved the movies but I just can't vision Frodo doing a ballad. Or if they go off the movies, Aragorn and Arwen singing a love song (which I know isn't really in the books but they are the love interest in the movie and every musical has to have a love interest and I just can't see Eowyn and Faramir pulling that off) |
It's 3 1/2 hours long with two 15 minute intermissions.

The set looks amazing. I'm still a little suspicious though. |
