Does anyone know about this site?

I have received messages that someone is trying to find out info about me (based on my e-mail address)and that others on the site are providing info about me.

I went to the site and couldn't find out what has been posted unless I pay a fee to join. All I saw was comments saying that people either knew me professionally or socially and that they knew me well.

Has anyone had any experience with this site or others like it?

I don't have the link anymore but I believe that this is some kind of a hoax.

What I would like to publicly state is that there is nothing "dirty" about me. I have no skeletons in my closet. The thing that I don't like is that I am wondering who the dumb people are that are paying money to "swap tales" about me.:rolleyes:

Somebody has their eye on you girl! lol. It's sad but people with time on their hands will FIND stuff to do on the internet.

No girl, I aint worried about it. I think what bothers me is that there are people who "think" they know me. Don't nobody know me. My mother doesn't even know me! LOL! The only people who really KNOW me are my father and my husband and they are no longer living. These are people on this site saying that they know me very well. NO YOU DON'T!!:mad:

Sounds like a Phishing scam to me. You should NEVER Reply or click on any links to emails of this nature. I wouldnt be surprised if you have a million popups or new spam emails because you clicked on the link.

I received an email about my ebay account being compromised. I dont have an ebay account.

Aw, dang.

It's another way for websites to get your money. They'll get you to pay $X to find out one of two things: (A) no one was hunting you down for real, but if you'd like to participate in a process that will keep anyone from digging up any dirt on you, click here! or (B) They're one of those companies that sells your information, and then tells you that the inquiry was made so that you can "pay them to block your information from being sold".

Fastest way to make a LOT of money? Threaten identity theft.

Either way, I'd ignore it and scan my computer just in case.
