Rules for the AST forum (taken from Jocelyn C and the Tri-Sigma Forum)

Since our lovely forum doesn't have a mod as of yet, here are some ground rules so that everyone will stay in check.

I took the framework for this from Jocelyn C and the lovely Tri-Sigmas.

Welcome to the Alpha Sigma Tau Forum! :)

Here are the rules:

Not an AST? -- Everyone is welcome in the forum as long as they post with respect and manners.

New AST to the forum? -- Please introduce yourself in the "Introductions" thread.

Initated Sisters? -- Please don't post anything ritual-related in the forum. There are national staffers that do post within the forum. You can easily e-mail or PM someone with a question or talk to an officer in your chapter.

Be respectful of everyone's feelings.

Finally, visit the national website at: http://www.alphasigmatau.org or your chapter's (if applicable.)

*stepping off the soapbox!*

Thanks EagleChick! This should help keep our forum clean, tidy, and respectable! And hopefully we'll get a moderator soon...:)

WE'll have to keep bumping it up to the top tho or it will fall down too far to see.

I just don't get why they won't give us a mod, i know we're small but the least they could do is stickey two threads for us...

Some good rules of thumb to follow:

~Remember that there are colony members and non-members that post/read messages

~If you wouldn't discuss it outside of a business meeting (ex. chapter business, ritual)... don't discuss it on here or
feel free to PM any of the initiated sisters.

~If you PM a member, only have 1 post, and are asking specific questions, do not expect a reply (happened to me)

Thanks EagleChick for the post...this may be the longest thread with all the bumps it will get!

I just happened to pop in and see this. I think it's a good idea for your forum to have rules even if there's no mod. Hopefully our forums will get them soon. :)

just something that i was thinking when i saw this -

don't automatically assume that because a person has a couple hundred posts and says they're an initiated member...that they really are.

there have been a couple of instances on GC where people have seriously fooled everybody else. i guess my general rule is - if you wouldn't discuss it outside of a business/ritual metting...then don't discuss it outside of a business/ritual meeting...
