Three Sorority Pins on ebay

There is a lot of three pins on ebay, starting at $99.

There pins are from Delta Zeta, Chi Omega, and Kappa Delta. Obviously a collector who likes GLOS's with only two letters! ;)

Uh, the one that looks like a KD badge is for Phi Beta Pi. Don't know that there's any connection between the two.

No connection. Phi Beta Pi is a medical fraternity founded in 1891.

Because we're so much more efficient! We accomplish our meaning with only 2 letters instead of 3! :D

When I become FILTHY RICH I will buy all sorority badges on ebay, and my brothers and I will deleiver them to/serenade presentation/their respective sororities. To nationals if no chapter @ RU/VCU/whichever campus I'm closest to when I get the badges.

I saw some badges on sale at E bay and the description included the tagline "add some status to your sweater" If a sorority badge is all it took to have "status" I'd wear mine every day :)

Sorry! I saw the skull, shape, and emeralds and made a snap judgement. I wanted to get it in front of people who would want to bid on it ASAP, since that's a collector with the only bid.

Did anyone else notice that the Phi Beta Pi pin looks almost like the ADPi pins except it is long ways?

Actually ADPi isn't the only GLO that uses the diamond shape for the pin. GLO pins sometimes come in shapes more often than others. Pins like the Kappa Key or the AXiD quill aren't common shapes like diamond shapes might be with different GLOs that may not be IFC/NPC/NPHC.

Pins with greek letters that appear on top of each other (for lack of better wording.. hehehe) is another type of design that I've noticed some GLOs use (even though the letters are different)

As wptw said and I will reiterate, many of the ebay sellers are ignorant when it comes to GLO Pins.

If any who are collectors, Badges are coming down on Price. Yea.

That is one thing that I wish LXA would reinsitue in our New Associate Books is pictures of GLOs Active and Associate Pins.

Check ariesrising for Her Web Site showing a lot of information of GLOInfo.

Oh, ebay is a fact of life. Live with it, all of you Pins will end up on there.

Hope all want me to win the bid I just put on these Badges. Will make them available at a reasonable price. Oh, Only If I win!:)

the thing I don't understand

about ebay is that they have tons of rules about listing brand names, trademarks, etc, but they do nothing to stop the selling of badges by persons who don't legally own them, and have no right to sell them.

I think you might be confused...I've seen tons of things listed by brand name on ebay. The only time you can be in trouble for using a brand name is if it's a fake (like fake Prada bags & such) or if the name misleads. So if someone was selling an "Alpha Omicron Pi" pin and it was a safety pin with those Greek letters gliued on it, they would be in trouble.

Whether a pin "belongs" to a national org might be up for debate - apparently everything that says "all badges are the property of Alpha Phi" or whoever aren't legally binding or there wouldn't be selling of pins on ebay.

I don't agree with it either, but the issue of selling Greek badges on ebay has nothing to to with brand names or trademarks unless the GLO is misrepresented.

The Phi Beta Pi Pin looks just like DSPhi badge I won. Well with different symbols in the creast or diamond shape.

Basically ebay dont give a damn. That is how they make their money fron sellers.

Ought to see the ZTA Beautiful Pin! Wow is it up there. May be over by now?

A few others are going for Big Bucks but damn few!

I dont want a lot of crap for what I buy off of ebay as I have a specific reason for my buys. Mostly it is LXA.
