Merged C & SC
Many, many years ago, the Constitution and Statutory Code were published as two separate documents; I recall that it had a yellow cover when I was an undergrad (circa 1976). Both documents were published in one pamphlet.
Does anyone know when the documents were merged and printed as one continuous piece of work as is seen in the current release? |
Now the C&SC are put together with the Paedagogus, it looks like a Lambda Chi bible of some sort.

John,
I bought one off of ebay and have been looking for it in my Archives of Treasures. Think it was red and small. Will keep looking! Damn, I need to really archive all of the LXA Treasures I have! Need a third bed room for it all!:o |
About 1990?
I am guessing that someone on the staff at Indy came up with the bright idea to merge them in the mid-ninties. Nobody seems to know exactly when that happened.
|
Hmm,
I have a "combined" (at least printed in the same pamphlet) C & SC from around 1985, so I think it happened well before the mid 90's....maybe someone can push the date back even further! ;) |
It may have been in the olden times (i.e. pre-Associate Membership). I got my A.M. pin in December 1973, and I only remember seeing them in the combo format (various cover colors included green & the aforementioned yellow, as my aging brain cells recall).
In ZAX, BF |
Same booklet format is fine
When I used the phrase "merged" I meant that the two documents were printed together as one single, continuous, piece, with Sections of the Constitution intermingled with the Code sections of the C&SC. It is terribly confusing.
What I need is an un-intermingled version. When they were both in the same pamphlet they were, at least, kept separate. That is what I need. When I was an undergrad I believe that the cover was yellow. That would be great. Please dro me a M if you have one and we can, if you would like to, arrange to send yours to me so that I can photocopy it. Thanks |
Red Cover, 21 st Edition, 1970.
