Famous alum on Ellen today.
 

So I normally don't watch Ellen but I read via our digital cable guide that Emily Procter was going to be on. So I thought, what the heck let's watch.

Here are the highlights:

Okay first off she looks so adorable. She is wearing a black v-neck shirt and a cute white satin shirt underneath, blue jans and a cute read necklace.

OMG she is so cute.

She brought her purse on stage saying she "didn't trust the people backstage" (LOL).

Emily brought her a "southern quiz".

Here are the questions she asked her.

When you say "give me some sugar" to a child what does it mean? Give me a kiss.

Can you point out or show "yonder"? It is "over there"

In your in the south and your driving down a two lane highway and they have their blinker on, will they A) make the turn B) not make the turn? B

What is the plural of y'all? All of you all.

She brought her a sweet tea making kit. It was a bag of sugar.



Boo Hoo that is it. She was only on for like five minutes. That just sucks. Noah Wyle got 10. (Brianna sticks out her tongue at the TV).

Don't they realize that Emily was the important one that I wanted to see? ;)

Emily Procter is a native of Raleigh, N.C. who attended East Carolina University. "I tried to get in the theatre department", she says, "but it was full." After graduation, however, she moved to Los Angeles and landed a number of small roles in films such as Jerry Maguire (1996). "Then I got the chance to audition for "The West Wing" (1999) and I got the part", she says.

Her father, William, was a general practitioner. Her mother, Barbara, was a volunteer. They divorced when Emily was 2.

She studied journalism and dance at East Carolina University. Upon graduation she worked as the weather girl at the Greenville CBS affiliate. She then moved to LA, where her father paid for 2 years of acting lessons.
