Triad Article

Shadokat,

Will someone be writing an article for Triad? I cried too and only saw a couple minutes. Did they meet at college and before the accident? If you have the skinny on this and don't mind typing a few sentences, please pm me as I missed a whole bunch of it before the I Do's. Where'd they meet, how'd he get hurt, como story etc.

Denise

I tuned in when they were telling their stories... so I know he played a bunch of sports and there was an accident.. not sure if it was sports related accident though.

I totally cried when they showed them the van with the moving chair!!!!

I didn't get to see the whole thing and someone can correct me if I'm wrong....

He got hurt in while in high school. He dove into a shallow part of the beach, which he obviously thought was deeper. They met in college. She was a Resident Assistant. He proposed to her at the same spot where the accident happened. They had a scary moment when he went in for a simple procedure and ended up having kidney failure.

That is all I got to see....Hope that helps. Maybe someone else can fill you in on more of the story.

I'm ADDICTED to Regis & Kelly. I watched all week.

His senior year of high school, he and some friends went diving off a bridge into water they knew well, but for some reason, the water had receded and he dove head first into an inch of water and broke his neck. He was in bad shape for awhile, but eventually recovered and is now a quadrapalegic. They met at Northeastern when she was an RA. She didn't want to date him at first because she didn't know if she could live with someone in a wheelchair, but she said eventually it wasn't a question of could she, it was that she had to.

Last fall (I think) he went in for regular surgery and went into kidney failure and a coma. He almost didn't make it, but he came through.

I thought they were adorable. I didn't like the BM dresses for the wedding at all, but I always love Regis & Kelly weddings. I was going to post on here when she said she was in a sorority, but this was posted already :)

Xylochick216, I didn't think he was a quadrapalegic...for some reason I remember seeing a scene where he was rolling the wheelchair with his arms?

They definitely said quadrapalegic. I have the show on tape. I think he regained some of the use of his arms, though, through therapy. Maybe that's what the surgery was helping, too.

T*P, yeah I also heard them say he was as quadrapalegic. I think he's regained some of the use of his arms from therapy and surgery as Xylochick said.
