FEBRUARY 4--Meet Sarah Slicker. A Florida jury this week found the 23-year-old woman guilty of lewd conduct for stripping off her clothes at the request of a four-year-old boy she was babysitting. The nanny, who testified that she disrobed last January to satisfy the tyke's curiosity, was discovered naked on a couch when the child's mother returned home unexpectedly. Slicker, who now must register as a sex offender, was jailed in advance of her February 25 sentencing, at which she could receive up to 15 years in prison. Slicker, pictured at right in a St. Petersburg Police Department mug shot, told cops that the incident was not sexual in nature, that she "just wanted him to know for when he was older," according to the below incident report.

The naughty nanny should be thinking her lucky stars the kid's mother allowed her to live long enough to be arrested.

What KR said, cause if it was my kid, I would be going to jail for giving her ass a genuine BEAT DOWN

I think its excessive to jail her though . . she needs to lose her nanny privelages.

Also . . . registering her as a sex offender for the rest of her life is not what the statute was designed for.

She should ask herself if it's really worth the trouble just to satisfy a four-year old's curiosity. she should know better than that. and now with the sex offender label on her, her days as a nanny is over.

i completely agree.

what she did was stupid and she should lose her job. but to be labeled a sex offender? i don't know about that.

was there any proof that there was anything sexual in nature occuring between them?

what about parents who change in front of their kids?

OH FLORIDUH.

Um, I am sure you would be singing the same tune if it were a man that was sitting there with a little girl. Give me a break, the woman should be jailed.

ST. PETERSBURG - To many in the Old Northeast neighborhood where Sarah Slicker lived and babysat, she was a Mary Poppins-like figure with a brilliant smile, bubbly disposition and a natural ability with children.

Slicker began babysitting at age 12. She taught Bible classes, helped with Sunday school and worked in the nursery at First United Methodist Church. Her church awarded her a college scholarship and she graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in pre-K education.

She hoped to become a child psychologist.

So when a Snell Isle family that attends First United Methodist was looking for a nanny, a church employee recommended Slicker.

The arrangement lasted for three months until the day in January 2004 when Slicker made a life-changing mistake.

She was fast-forwarding through a James Bond movie, Die Another Day, when a sex scene appeared. The 4-year-old boy in her care demanded she take off her clothes. Slicker complied, and let him touch her.

The incident shocked those who knew the 23-year-old Slicker. It also split a neighborhood and a church. Some rallied behind her, refusing to believe it happened. Others felt she should go to prison. Parents who had used her for babysitting quietly grilled their children, some of them already in college.

I'm sorry, that was all I could say. Wow...maybe she wasn't a perv, but she's A DUMBASS!!!!

HOW DO YOU LET A LITTLE KID TALK YOU INTO TAKING OFF YOUR CLOTHES??? AND TOUCH YOU???

I have a 4-year old sister, and I'll BE DAMNED if I let her talk me into ANYTHING!!!

However, after reading the article I feel really sorry for her because she was very overworked. But, it could be the media making people feel sorry for an attractive woman in jail. Oh man...the insanity of it all!!!!

When that kid turns 20, this will be a story shared with drunk friends in college.

In another article I was reading, the boy sounds like he feels entitled to it, like the Mom gives him everything he wants...

Also in that article, the baby sitter had previously complained that the boy was grabbing her breasts and buttocks, and the mother said that he had exhibited the behavior previously, but it got worse with this nanny.

This little boy is exhibiting behaviors that leads me to believe that we will hear of him again in a few years, after he rapes his girlfriend. And his mom is an enabler!

BTW, it happened after the boy saw a clip of a sexual scene in Die Another Day. Which the nanny advised against seeing, but the father told the babysitter to just fast forward through the "bad" scenes...

The nanny seems like she was overworked (100 hours a week!), and slightly abused in the past (I believe the article said that she had no sexuality), and with the overbearing and slightly sociopathic personality of the child, she just complied.

Not excusing her behavior, but I think there is more going on here that meets the eye, especially since all of the other parents of kids she had babysat sat behind her in court, supporting her.
