Advisors
Not that you would want to rat out your brothers, but maybe it is time to let the DC and National know that the advisors are nto helping.
Asking for "help" to insure the chapter/colony succeeds is a good thing. Keep after the upper echelon to provide the help. ~kai~ Ed |
Agreed. I currently serve on our House Corp. board and have been the past Chapter Counselor and various other advisors. I can tell you it is best for the chapter, the university and the advisors alike, to have pro-active advisors. Just simply ask them to be a part of an active advisor board, or tell them you'd prefer them to step down so someone else can fulfil the position.

I think finding suitable and active advisors is one of the hardest aspects that our group has faced. Those of us who have graduated recently are hoping to step up to the plate.

It is difficult b/c of the values that Beta instills in us.
Beta's want to go out and take over the world-be great, get a good job, and so forth-but to be an advisor it often seems that you have to put that on the back burner. |
