Alphas at UVA join IFC!

 Never heard of this before, but congrats to the brothers! :)

"Alpha Phi Alpha is a fantastic addition to the IFC because of the quality of their members, their organization and the presentation they gave to the IFC," IFC President David Bowman said.

Why would he comment about the move in a class? That seems uncalled for. If the Dean is really that upset, he should have taken his concerns directly to the fraternity.

I am sory, but what was written about this move is a sad day for Greeks Etal.

By a few statements, it shows a form of racism at its worse.

I commend the Brothers of Alpha for making a stand to join Interfraternally with other Greeks.

Isnt that what We are all here about?

It is difficult to comment from far outside the situation, but one would hope that their original decision (assuming that they really do remain a strong influence in The Black Fraternal Council) could be a win-win situation for the BFC, IFC and Alpha.

It's not at all unusual, although sometimes unfortunate, when a professor or university official uses his classroom as a "bully pulpit" to express personal views that really have no relation to the course of study.
