CBS/Rather: "Altho the photo is fake, the facts are ..."
 

Tonight, on the CBS Evening News, Dan Rather will verify that altho the photo of a hostage (now proven to be a GI Joe and toy gun) is fake, there is no doubt that the story is true.

Somebody want to post what this is all about?

I've been thinking the same thing.

I think this is a reply to the thread about the journalism poll...or I could be wrong.

This hoax may not be an Iraqi muslin stunt - perhaps it was all done by hackers in USA.

If so, they will be inspired to do more.

I'm still confused. Is the thread about the hoax or did CBS actually report it and then defend the story?
