I have an interview!

Next Friday, I have an interview to become a Legislative Assistant for a local representative.

:D

Wish me luck! This is a job that I've wanted since leaving college. (I graduated with a BA in Political Science.)

Good Luck!!!! Let us know how it goes!!

Awesome!

Good luck!!!

Well...how'd it go?

EagleChick19 02-04-2005 03:38 PM

I had the interview today. The guy who interviewed me is only 24! (That makes him a yr. older than me  ) I think that the interview went well. He said that he would either give me a call this afternoon or Monday. But, since it's almost 3:00, it looks like it will be Monday. The waiting is going to stress me out over the weekend.

Hopefully, everything will turn out alright in the end.

my fingers are crossed for you!!

Thanks, Erinn! I really appreciate that! :)

Update:

The representative's office called me back this afternoon, and I found out that I didn't get the job. :(

But the guy who interviewed me wanted to keep my resume on file, since apparently there will be an opening later on this year.

Little E 02-07-2005 03:01 PM

I'm so sorry!!! I wish it would have worked out for you. What was the job doing?

EagleChick19 02-07-2005 03:11 PM

It was an entry level job where I would have been running the representative's constituent services out of his KOP district office. Also, the job would have had me accompaning the rep. to local events, etc.

Little E 02-07-2005 03:24 PM

Aw, well hopefully they'll give you the next opening!

I talked things over with my Mom. (Moms seem to make things better.)

She told me to send him (the interviewer) an email thanking for taking the time to interview me, and to volunteer in his office. Also, for me to keep in touch with the office every so often.

She gave me a clearer perspective. He wouldn't have asked to keep my resume on file if they didn't like me to begin with. Also, she told me that I did the best job that I could.

That's very true. Moms are great aren't they? I have to admit I do the same thing to my mom. She can still sort my life out from WI. :)

Moms are definitely great. Speaking of which, I just got off the phone with mine. She was telling me to look for more through WC's paper.

Mom definitely knows best. :)

What about looking in Philly to? Or are you pretty committed to WC?

Are you a chapter advisor up there yet?
