ok I lied this is the last post...LMAO
there is one thing that I have failed to notice on this board..so far...that actor Chris Klein ( We Were Soldiers, American Pie 1 and 2, Election, United States of Leland) is a brother from Texas Christian!!!!
I mailed him a letter and a coat of arms for his car and I hope that I do get a response... Has anyone on here ever mailed/emailed letters to famous brothers? I did get to speak to Brother Michael Westmore by phone, who is a makeup artist back in 1998 after he was nominated for Best Makeup Oscar for Star Trek: First Contact. Very cordial and he even invited me to visit his studio out in California if I am ever out that way. He also won the Oscar for Best Makeup for "Mask". |
Johnathon Schaech who was in That Thing You Do, and who is married to Christina Applegate is from my chapter. One of the guys who is a couple year older than me was picking a friend up at BWI and ran into him while he was waiting for his flight. he said they chatted for a bit and that he was very nice, he was back in town to pick up a transcript b/c he was going to get his masters and was starting a production company.

that is kewl...
i think that actors who are brothers will possibly treat us a little better than the regular folks who try to pester them for autographs and stuff like that...

Wil Geer, Claude Aikens, Bob Urich
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting these brothers prior to their pasing.
I spent more time with Will Geer and I am satisfied that if he were still alive, and showed up at your chapter door, he could answer the appropriate questions and get in. And few alumni can do that. Brother Geer was a genuine treasure. I understand that from time-to-time Claude Aikens would return to his Zeta (Chicago somewhere?) and participate in Ritual. How many alumni could do that 50 years later? |
