Yay!
 

I finally got invited to and attended a meeting of the chapter in town, and had a great time. The ladies were really sweet, a little on the wild side, and remembered me from when I visited a few years ago. I'm going to the Valentines Dance their having on the 11th, and I'm very excites to finally be able to meet them again and get involved.

Just wanted to give you gals an update, and for all you others that are still waiting or have gotten the FV pamphlet, here's a thought:

I had considered starting a chapter and talking to the alum of my sorority into joining. We don't really have any alumnae support because we ave nothing for them. Of course, if you're involved in an alum chapter or are still in school, this probably isn't a great idea. But it would take a lot less energy than starting a chapter with strangers. Have a great day!

I went to the VDay danceand had a ball. (No pun intended.) The women were super sweet, I've been to 2 of the 3 required events, and they've all told me they hope I join and have asked me to participate in activities months away. The next meeting is March 9, and I should know something for sure then.

Side note: I'm starting to do research on starting a catering business!

Tonight is the third meeting, and I've been told by a few of the women that they hope I join because they like me. They're very sweet, and have taken all nervousness away - I'm too busy enjoying them to be nervous. I'll let you know how it goes!
