Another Frat w/Red and White Canes

I don't know much about these guys, but are they guys who were rejected by the Kappas. They call themselves Alphas, so maybe they were rejected by them. Even there colors seem to be similar to crimson and cream, though. For all interested check out there site. This could get confusing.

Very interesting. I've never heard of this organization before. Kappa Alpha Psi doesn't have a patent on the kane although we are the ones who made it popular. The colors are slightly similar. Maybe they were influenced by Kappa who knows. I'm not hating on them. I wish them the best of luck.

Yeah, I checked out the sight. I am of the same mind as N4L, to each his own. They are from Texas, and were founded by two guys. I don't know if they were rejected or not, but I wish them luck in thier future endevors. However, if they are trying to start thier own thing, and trying to establish thier own identity, they would do well not to call themselves Alphas, becuase when I hear that name, I immediately think of the men of
A Phi A, and when I see them with Kanes, I think of us, so I think that it would be in thier best interest to try to forge thier own path. Just my take on it.

Did I miss something, carrying canes and calling themselves Alphas. I'm terribly confused and I foresee them having a difficult time gaining acceptance on a wide scale.

I'll cut to the chase! I don't like this at all . . . I've got to disscuss this with my frat. Thanks for the info.

If you know Nupes in Texas, perhaps they can investigate further.

Some are concerned, others are not. For those who are, I would suggest that a very respect email voicing your concerns for your traditions and their individuality and asking for a response. Their email address is as follows: alphakappasigma@yahoo.com

This is not to start controversy, just to maintain uniqueness in their search for identity and growth.
