Arrest Black babies before they become criminals

In another group I am a member of, this link was posted regarding what is "proclaimed" to be justifiable stereotypical humor because comedians such as Chris Rock and David Chappelle perform such jokes in their shows. This link will take you to an online T-shirt company who seems to find humor in drawing an African American baby being handcuffed stating "Arrest Black babies before they become criminals.

What are your thoughts on this and the point this company is attempting to make?

Here are mine:

That shirt is disgusting, racist (yeah, I said it) and is sick. I don't care what Chris Rock or Dave Chapelle say in their comedy routine, presumptuious (and that's putting it nicely" shirts like that don't belong no where. Arrest black babies before they become criminals……gimme a a break!

Eh...it is very offensive, but most of the shirts are quite offensive. I think the site's sole purpose is just to shock people, nothing more.

Sick and beyond WRONG!

Oh My God!! @ the "I surfed the Tsunami 2004" t-shirt. That is plain ridiculous and insensitive. :(

Disgusting.

I looked at a few of their other shirts. I wish I hadn't.

I got that in my personal email, by way of Blacknews.com a couple of days ago. Talk about infuriating!!!!

They had another shirt in the article that said something like "jesus is a homo"!! Who in the world would have the guts to wear ignorance like that outside!! Here goes another scenario of what it means to some people when the constitution states "....freedom of speech." So unfortunate!!

Or the one about abortions... it's just sad what some people find funny.

Those shirts were totally offensive!!!! Especially the one that said bring back slavery. I cannot believe these people that made those shirts. THe one that said Jesus is a Homo!!! I almost fell out of my chair when I saw it. I cannot believe someone would say that about the Lord:eek: . That site sucks.

There was an article earlier this week that advised people not to pass the link around or visit the website. I'll take your word for it that the site is full of vile and disgusting t-shirts. But by passing the link around it just invites more people visit the site - even if they don't buy anything the makers are getting what they want - traffic to the site and unpaid publicity.

Imagine if everyone just deleted the email instead of forwarding to others...the number of people that would know about the organization would be very small.

Don't pass it along - don't visit them - delete the email when it keeps coming back to your in-box. The best thing to do is ignore them. You won't change the mind of those that think its funny or a first ammendment issue. You can make it difficult for the makers to stay in business.

Exactly. Don't buy them. Remember, these people are capitalists. And they do have First Amendment rights to put the stuff out. It's up to people to exercise self-control in this case.

Some of that tuff is truly sick, however some of it is hilarious.

They have a t-shirt for babies that says "My I.Q. is higher than your president's." I cracked up, when I saw that one. :D

It was rude and disgusting but I agree some of that stuff had me cracking up!

Ok...This site is just plain stupid. And the people that post pics on the site are truly sick. The abortion one really made me want to cuss. Not to mention the one about the "Black Babies".

This is not comedy like the site states...it is hate!!!
