Ok, I probably won't vote for his behind either, but I don't really see what any of these quotes have to do with anything. Politicians say stupid things. Gore has said plenty of stupid things. He invented the internet, that "Love Story" was based on him and Tipper. So I guess my thing is, what is your point? We spend so much time on stuff like this, when there are so many things that are actually important, that we can slam him on.

And just to throw this out there. (Now mind you I am a registered Democrat, and voted twice for Clinton), but why are we always on his D*&^. YOu would think that he marched with MLK or something. During the impeachment folks were like, we need to support him and we have to let our voice be heard. Fuggg him. I am not going to hate on him, but damn, you are the president and you are going to let some (not all that cute) chick hit you off while you are discussing issues pertaining to sending our service men and women in harms way. I'm a Navy brat, so this type of thing sorta grates me the wrong way.

I mean he has been a very good president, and I would vote for him again if I could, but I just think that we spend too much time being the political whore of the Democratic party. They screw us when the want to, but every four years they take us to diner and say a few nice things, and we are suppose to be good little voters and bend over again and give them what they want. (I really didn't mean to offend the ladies, but I use this language to make a needed point). We need to start holding them accountable.

Our black leadership has gotten rich and fat and in my opinion out of touch with the grass roots. This weekend is the Congressional Black Caucuss weekend, and I don't plan on going to any of the events. I have friends who work in congressional offices who are always trying to get me to this event or that one. I am like whatever man.

That's just my take on it.

MN- Very well said!! I can honestly say I agree with all of your points. Well except for the voting for Clinton another time thing and being a registered Democrat. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif (Maybe Al Gore doesn't make as many mistakes in his speech because he is a robot)

I can honestly say that I vote for the PERSON and not the party. I do vote republican on a regular basis.

And what you said is true! The democrats only say what we want to hear during election time!! (Watch the movie Bulworth, Warren Beatty's character makes some very good points about this very topic.) Honestly, can someone please tell me what they have done for us lately? And I don't count appointing a black person to a position as doing something for us. Sorry. How about helping us rebuild our Urban Centers, or educating our children, getting some of these people off drugs and stop spouting rhetoric? That would impress me!

The Democrats aren't ever going to live up to their promises until we start voting for someone else. Why should they? We always hand them our votes!

Voting for Bush?

If you are thinking about voting for Bush in the upcoming presidential election you may want to reconsider after you read the complete list of "Bushisms." I can honestly say this man will not get my vote.

Enjoy.

Well said frat. We as blacks sit around a wonder what Democrats and Republicans are gonna do for us. It's time for us to stop doing that. We need to tell them what they're gonna do for us. If they do it, they're gone! It's simple as that. We need to stop settling for some half ass shit! And there's no way I'm gonna vote for Bush. I do agree though, the Democrats haven't done much for us either.
