wonder why?

seems like few of the major GLOs post much in here, wonder why? Do the old line ones, like Zete, Chi Psi, Delta Phi, Deke, do
much posting-wise?

Well, as a rule there are more women on this site overall than men.

It also could be that people are lurking and not posting or people aren't sharing their affiliation.

Maybe they are afraid of saying the wrong thing, or spelling something wrong and getting bashed by OTW...... ;)

LOL. It's a shame they can't handle the original SUGAR POPS. :D

33girl 01-25-2005 12:22 AM

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think Sugar Pops would be a really good rapper name.

honeychile 01-25-2005 12:29 AM

Well, Sugar Pops ARE tops! :D

AGDee 01-25-2005 12:30 AM

Despite the blizzard, the nuclear plant shut down (which made me get out and READ the evacuation pamphlet they send every year), work being demanding, driving being a challenge every day.... I giggle at Sugar Pops every time I read it. LOLOLOLOL and it makes me wonder...

Who are the original Fruit Loops?

I guess it depends on what you think of as major GLO's - I think there's a pretty solid representation of most of the GLO's on the site. As was said, there are more sorority members represented, but there are also more women posting than men.

I mean, it depends on your definition of "major GLO's," but I think a solid amount of GLO's are represented.

it's all about the sugar pops ;)

Pretty much - for example, I consider Kappa Sigma to be one of the "major" fraternities, and it has no lack of posters on here - in fact, I'd say they're probably one of the most represented men's groups. I actually think most of the women's groups are represented pretty proportionately to their current sizes as well.

How many CHAPTERS do Zete, Delta Phi, etc, still have?

actually, "sugar pops" in general are trying to get you banned, as in more than one sugar pops. It's annoying, it's not funny, and you keep stirring up stupid isht.

And I have the feeling this won't be the first username banned for the person behind this screenname...

Just stop this crap, it's tired.

According to the websites of the fraternities that Erik mentioned, these are the numbers of active chapters:

Zete -- 46

Delta Phi -- 15

Chi Psi -- 30

Deke -- 62

So compared to some of the fraternities with over 200 active chapters, it's pretty likely that they may have the same percentage of members posting on GC as say, TKE, SigEp, Kappa Sig...

Also I know that a few of those houses only expand at top schools, so maybe these guys are too busy preparing to run the world to hop on GC.

major GLOs

I guess I should have defined my terms...by major GLOs I would
say NIC, NPC, 150 chapters or more. This not meant to imply that those with fewer chapters are inferior, just have less exposure.
There are other greek-lettered groups, yes, but I focus on the
major ones. Numbers of posts can easily be found by checking
the individual forums--as the number is given. Lambda Chi and
Teke are the larger of these posters, you can compare the others
and draw your own conclusions.
I think you are right, many are busy expanding into Canada and
reviving dead chapters, and little is addressed here to enhance these aspirations.

kddani 01-27-2005 01:41 PM

lol, KD has less than 150 active chapters (I think very few NPCs have over 150 active chapters). I guess we're not a major GLO then.

Who cares how many people from what group post here?
