SpongeBob spreading homosexuality
Move over Tinky Winky, Spongebob is better in spreading homosexuality.
Link to the Article http://www.playingbyear.com/kyle/spongebob.jpg SpongeBob and his cohorts. Very vile and evil in corrupting young minds. |
I don't know about spreading homosexuality, but sponges can breed bacteria if they're not washed out and allowed to dry completely between uses.

LMAO!!!!! :D

My favorite part of the article:
WAFF spokesman Mark Barondeso told the newspaper that anyone who thought the video promoted homosexuality "needs to visit their doctor and get their medication increased". |
"The video's makers plan to mail it to US schools in the spring to promote tolerance and diversity."
"They point to the fact that the WAFF is linked to a pledge being promoted by some liberal groups which includes a recognition of tolerance of sexual identity." Tolerance and diversity??? How dare they!!! We SHOULD boycott SpongeBob. I mean, seriously, that's some nerve...trying to teach children about acceptance of people that are different. |
I don't know whether this is funny or sad.

Imagine what kind of negative influence they'd discover if the saw this.
No offense, but these right-wing conservative christian groups have a lot of balls trying to accuse someone else of being gay after the church scandal. You'd think they'd keep their mouths shut and stay away from homosexual topics for a little bit. Oh well.... |

The "right-wing conservative christian groups" are usually comprised of Evangelical Protestants. They don't have a whole lot to do w/ Catholics, many don't even consider them Christians at all. When analyzing who is saying what to whom about what, details are important and often missed in news sound bites. No offense. ;) |

Their founder is catholic, most of the people that work there are catholic, and the organization is rooted in catholic, not evangelical protestants, beliefs ;) No offense. |

From the link you posted: " Let us take a look at the Liberal Catholic Church and what they really are and what they stand for: Here are some of the publications I think, to begin with. The Goddess Religions, Gnostic Christianity, Eastern Mysticism, Mystical States of Consciousness, Reincarnation in Christianity?, The Feminine Aspect of Divinity. They also have a booklet of course, on meditation. " Not even close to basic Roman Catholic doctrine. Just because someone uses the word "Catholic" doesn't mean they are in union w/ the RCC. No offense. |

You wanna argue how much of a devote catholic they are compared to you, knock yourself out. Doesn't change the facts of who they are and what they stated in this situation. Also, why don't you show me how they are not catholic but evangelical protestants as you adamantly claim. I looked around and couldn't find anything about it, so prove it. Just because not everyone follows your version of catholicism doesn't mean they can't be catholics smart ass. Go back to your spongebob protest and gay bashing elsewhere. |
You just lost your argument. Hurling insults means you're at the end of your rope and have nothing else.

Your initial link was a discussion about Dr James Dobson, founder of "Focus on the Family", a major organization involved w/ the "religious right". From the FotF website: http://www.family.org/docstudy/aboutdrdobson.cfm ""Dr. Dobson was chosen as Layman of the Year by the National Association of Evangelicals in 1982." The article you linked to also mentioned an organization called the "Liberal Catholic Church". Their website is here: http://www.liberalcatholic.org/ They may call themselves "Catholic". However, they are not part and parcel of the RCC, which was accused in the sex scandal. My post said: Quote:
The following also has no merit: Quote:
You can be angry all you want - but if you want your voice to be effective, you want to make sure you're focusing on the correct target. |

Considering this link is on the Focus on the Family site, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that they aren't really so Catholic anymore - as of this Sunday we neither had pastors nor pastors' wives. |
