Hey All:

This week has been crazy for me! I'm still recovering. Founder's Day was absolutely lovely. Close to 1,500 sorors gathered in Atlanta to celebrate the founding of Alpha Kappa Alpha and the birth of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This was my first one and certainly not my last!

I have a few pics that I will post... once I understand how to post pictures. Anyone care to help a helpless soror? ;-)

BTW, the SML chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi came in 2nd place for the "fraternity" portion of the step show. Alpha Phi Alpha (I believe the Alpha Rho chapter, don't quote me on this one) came in first. Both step shows were well executed.

Thanks to Soror Btb87 for the help! Hopefully this will work. The pictures are a bit grainy, but hopefully folks can see. I also have a picture with International President White and some of my KO sorors. But I have to wait for those to be developed. :)

This is a picture of Honorary Member Coretta Scott-King, surrounded by International President Linda M. White, and Nekeidra Brown. Scott-King was presented with an award from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. The picture was taken at a reception in her honor at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. http://images.ofoto.com/photos1055/2...2203_0_ALB.jpg

This is a picture that was taken at the same event. Several directorare members are in the picture as well. Prominent in the picture are the South Atlantic, International, and Mid-Atlantic regional directors. http://images.ofoto.com/photos1055/2...2203_0_ALB.jpg

This is a picture taken at the 20th Annual King tribute at the State Capitol. The AKA National Founder's Day Choir led the event which was highlighted by brief remarks from Martin Luther King, III. http://images.ofoto.com/photos1055/2...2203_0_ALB.jpg

Enjoy!
