Tea Tree Oil may be unsafe
 

Not to mention that it stanks like motor oil.....

Boy i am glad i read this....I was getting ready to use that on my scalp for problem psorriasis spots.

I don't get these....people have been using it for how long and they JUST now come out with this....seems kinda weird to me....and that they say this, but yet allow companies to still go on selling it...

So in other words perfectly safe? That's why all essential oils used in massage etc., are diluted with a carrier oil and not applied neat to the skin and always have been. All the article talks about is pouring neat oil on skin which nobody does and no likely product does either.

Maybe folks should stop being greedy and use it like it supposed to be used. Anyway, people are allergic to thousands (millions even?) of natural products and items. That's not a huge surprise.

Perhaps the fad is getting a little out of hand if its in toothpastes and such.

I found it suprising that the article mentioned that "the neat oil was "a severe irritant" to the skin." My dermatologist told me the exact oposite in that it helps clean your skin and reduce oily spots. I bought Tea Tree Oil from the Body Shop and it seems to work...no problems here.

Sounds like they are trying to put out a similar antiseptic with similar properties and sell it at a prescription price...

Tea tree oil is only good for oily skin. It can be iritating if you're "normal" or dry.
