There is a great website available to surfers the world over(www.surfline.com) that gives all kinds of etiquette information to say the least. I've learned a few things since I've been checking the site out.
Good article...I've seen surf rage first hand, some people are just jerks though.

Getting dropped in on is a pain in the ass!

Luckily my usual spot is frequented by locals only, and they know proper etiquette!

You haven't seen REAL surf rage until you've met Makua Rothman. Fucker's conquered JAWS before, but I think he's *THE* biggest asshole out there in the surfing community.

You know drop ins suck, but I hate it when some punk paddles over from 100 yards or more away to f-ing snake or drop in and then has the balls to bitch me out. Bite me you teenage brat.

Man we've got more than our fair share of a-holes down by the pier here in HB...which is why I stay away from it, well that and shooting the pier is a bit advanced for my meager skills. When are people going to realize there really are enough waves for all of us?

And JAWS? That is just motherf-ing crazy. I get intimidated when it's head high. OTW, did you catch any of the Eddie Aikau? I saw the footage and just about fell over. That was some crazy isht.

Yep, I got the call from the boys at Turbo Surf that morning telling me it was on. I literally never moved from my little hole in the sand because every set was breathtaking.

The moment that gave me goosebumps was seeing Eddie Aikau's brother out there. It's a great contest we all know, but the person that Eddie was was even greater. :)

Good thing we have a "beginner" spot up here in San Francisco so we can drop in on on each other. ;) (Linda Mar in Pacifica)

Talking about surfing, I'm thinking about going to G-Land. I was going to either Nias or Weh, unfortunately the tsunami happen. However, I will go there next year to support the locals by giving them business.
