Question about spring recruitment and grades

When a school has spring recruitment, do the sororities get 1st semester grades? Do they also look at high school gpa, too? Thanks!

i'm sure they get 1st semester grades, wouldn't make sense for them not to. They probably also look at HS.

When the PNM's fill out rush applications it has a grade check consent on there. All we do is check to make sure that they meet the grade requirement of the sorority and the school. We never see there actual class grades--our GL Director just gives us their current overall GPA. Also, if they are freshman we make sure that they have at least 12 credit hours.

I don't think we see the actual grades either (but I'm not sure). First semester grades are checked though because there is a minimum you have to be at just to go through recruitment. By then, H.S. grades don't matter much.

It might vary from school to school, but sororities will at least look at your college GPA but not individual class grades. I don't see any point in looking at high school GPAs, unless you are going through recruitment fall of your freshmen year.

We have deferred recruitment at my school. When the PNMs fill out their recuitment applications, they include their high school GPA, which is what the houses get. However, we also get their fall GPA, which is what decides whether or not they are elegible to go through recuitment and receive a bid.

We only get their fall GPA, not grades.
