First and foremost, the photo is cute.

Second...someone on this board has DSQ in their signature and if it weren't for me NOT wanting to sound unenlightened, I would have asked long ago what DSQ is....anyone?

In the Symbol font Q translates to the greek Theta. I think the webmaster did not put the font in right.

So if you wanted to show our greek symbols in your siggy it would be [open bracket font=symbol closed bracket] DSQ [open bracket /font closed bracket].

I absolutely LOVE that picture!

Let me tell you. . . she was at our Boulé in July, and I was so thrilled to actually be able to talk with her for a second. I took a picture of her, but it was too fuzzy to post, so I never did post it here. She is definitely an amazing woman, one I would love to sit down with and hear about some of her life's history.

The picture is precious! I remember seeing her at Boule and sitting there in awe. Her book is on my list.

That is a very nice picture. Of course Soror Hieght was at our convention back in the summer, and with her being apart of the Eastern Region she was also at my luncheon, so I able to get a really good picture of her. I too was just in awe of her.

I met Ms. Height last summer at the national convention of the 100 Black Men of America while covering a session on prostate cancer and other health concerns among black men. I was too impressed that she spoke out on the need for us to be concerned about preventive medicine.

She is a national treasure, for sure. God bless her.

That is very nice, and not to bring down the general feel of the thread, but correction, Dr. Height is NOT the Founder of NCNW Soror Mary McLeod Bethune is, Dr. Height is the President Emerita, so perhaps if someone could pass this info along, but it is a very nice, brotherly, gesture!!
