Alice In Wonderland movie from 1985

NOT the Disney version. This one had real people in it.

Does anybody remember this? I think it was a made-for-tv special in the 80's with a lot of famous actors and actresses in it, and Alice was played by Natalie Gregory. They stopped playing it on TV and this version is virtually *impossible* to find anywhere. From what I have found out, it's a collectors item and if you are able to get your hands on a copy you would expect to shell out in excess of $50 for it...

I have it recorded from TV on a home video from when I was a little girl, but we all know how long those things last when they're watched over and over again...

Does anybody else remember this? It's soooo much better than Disney's cartoon version and was one of my absolute favorites growing up...

Do any of you have an idea where to find this?

Is this it?

I found some through Amazon/eBay. The cheapest seems to be $36 and the newer ones are obviously more expensive.

Aaah, yes. Thanks OTW :) That's the first half of the movie... part 2 is called "Through the looking glass" and sells for a little cheaper on there too. God bless amazon.com :D

I love this movie!

I totally understand. I remember that movie quite fondly and I just might end up buying a copy myself. :p

If I'm remembering the same movie, I watched in when I was really young and freaked out when the baby turned into a pig and ran away. While I was growing I thought I was making it all up cause I didn't know that it was an actual movie.

I have it taped from TV but I don't even know where the tape is. I LOVED that movie when I was younger. I always wanted to eat the blue cake that said "eat me" and I liked the vial that said "drink me."

I'm quite an "Alice" fan and as I recall, that was a very good adaptation. I remember that there were lots of stars in it but for the life of me, I don't remember who any of them were.

I remember Sherman Hensley and his song, "I DON'T Like Cats!"

I still have it on video from when it first came on TV :) Isn't Carol Channing in it or something? I always loved the food, but I HATED the Jaberwokey.

And Sammy Davis Jr. Was the caterpillar.

We have that taped off TV, too.

I liked this too! For some reason, why did I think the little girl from Poltergeist was in it?

that movie freaked me out! it was just as scary as the flying monkees from the Wizard of Oz

That movie really freaked me out.

That movie scared the bejeepers out of me for some reason, and I think I was about 17 at the time!
