Chi-O pin
Pardon the forum crashing, but I wanted to let ya'll know of a pin on ebay. It is a beautiful Chi-O pin that appears a Chi-O granddaughter is selling:

Sounds sorta fishy to me! Personally I'm appauled that they're asking for $200 - it's not new and most likely not an heirloom! I have a sneeky suspision someone is trying to play off the heart-strings of Chi Omegas. If my grandmother died, and she were in a sorority and I didn't pledge it, I'd still keep her pin - OR donate it (if it does in fact MEAN SO MUCH TO HER). Buyers Beware! |
A happy ending...
Well, I contacted the seller & because she didn't get any bids -- she is sending the badge to the Chi Omega Executive Headquarters. I provided her with the address & informed her that a gift would be made in her grandmother's memory to the Chi Omega Foundation.
Hootie, the seller (the grandaughter) is an alumnae initiate of Phi Mu, which explains her purchase of Phi Mu items. She said her original idea was to send the badge to our HQ, but her Dad wanted to try selling on eBay. (This is the first item they've ever listed for sale.) |

Yay! I'm glad to hear there was a happy ending to the story of the previous pin.
I found another Chi-O pin on ebay that is not listed as a Chi-O pin. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...962697873&rd=1 panhellenically, t*p |
Chi Zeta - isn't that Colorado State? I hope this badge ends up either at HQ or back with the initiate.
