ROFL!! A SORORITY FOR GERALD LEVERT!!
http://floanthony.com/Images/Celebri...ald_Levert.jpg
Women love Gerald Levert so much that they have started a sorority for the Elektra recording star. According to the group, Gerald is the first man in history to have a sorority in his honor. The group, called G. Phi G., which stands for Girl's Primary Honey Is Gerald, was founded by six women from Washington, DC on July 13, 2000. The G. Phi G. founders made a special presentation to Gerald on January 14, right after his concert in Mississippi. To join or get more information on the sorority G Phi G, go to GphiG.freesavers.com. "Our goal is to help him win the Grammy Award he deserves," expressed Robin Jones of G. Phi. G. This sorority is separate from the men's fellowship organization of the same name. Gerald is a hometown man but daaaaang, to me Gerald has fallen off. I have not bought a CD since the CD with Answering Service and a bunch of other great ballads. |
I am not trying to be mean. But here is my question.. what makes this sorority different from a fan club?
|

What the Hell . . .
|
The sad thing is that these women are grown as hell acting like groupies. And they have actually met Gerald many times and follow him around to concerts. How in the world can you have a sisterhood (sorority) that idolizes a man?
|
Waht makes this more funny is when you see their award they give to him as
"G. PHI G. names Gerald Levert "ENTERTAINER OF THE DECADE" 1991-2001!!!." Gee... http://www.plauder-smilies.de/sad/nervous.gif I wonder who ther next entertainer of the decade will be? LMAO!!! the Gallery says: http://www.plauder-smilies.de/happy/invasion.gif NOT GERALD LEVERT....PUuuuuuuullleeeeeeeesssssseeeee! |
I want to play devil's advocate here...
Would these women be receiving so much scrutiny if they didn't use the word "sorority" and used "fan club"? Is it wrong that they have a deep (TOO DEEP and maybe obsessive) love and admiration for Gerald Levert? Would you feel different if it was a Brian McKnight, Joe, or any other male singer? In my opinion, although this may seem far-fetched, these are group of women who have come together w/ a common interest..what's so wrong w/ that? |

Lord have mercy upon us. It takes all kinds of people to make this world.
I wonder how long this will last? |
I'm all for it if someone can help me pay my bills. Any takers wanting to support me hit me up ASAP - lol

Okay, ya'll have to excuse me if I'm a little RUDE this mornin' but...
THESE PEOPLE AND WHILE I'M AT IT, THESE FAKE *bleep* "JUNIOR GREEKS" IN THESE HIGH SCHOOLS MAKE ME SICK!!! They do! It's too much perping going around... too much. And I'm with the Professor on this one... how can you have a sorority that idolizes a man? I thought sororities were about sisterhood, at least that is what all of my female friends tell me. This sounds like an expensive way to become a groupie... and what is there to gain... maybe a free concert but I there are other ways to go about it. And shame on both Gerald Levert and Elektra for promoting such garbage! If they was a fan club we would be could but since they are trying to fake the funk... nope. Call me a hater if you want to. I realize that I'm not greek and some would wonder why I would get mad or get upset in the first place; but I would rather be real in what I don't have then try to embarraass and make a fool out of myself pretending that I have something that doesn't belong to me in the first place. I just hope that I'm one of the fortunate that is able to work for his letters. 112 [This message has been edited by DirectorDST99 (edited July 14, 2001).] |
