Movies That Put You to Sleep
Just saw Alexander yesterday and I fell asleep for the entire flix. Just wondering, what movies did you watch at the theatre that put you to sleep?
|
Van Helsing. I heard it was bad, but I almost did fall asleep and I never do that when the tv is on.
|
Some people might be shocked, but Gangs of New York knocked me out at the theaters!
|
Gangs of New York.
I thought it was a terrile movie and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too long. I had to periodically walk in and out of the room in order to stay awake. ETA: I posted at the same time as OTW...so no, I wouldn't be surprised at all :D |
Speed 2. I fell right asleep, and so did 2 of my friends.
|
Alex and Emma.
I was begging myself not to fall asleep because I was hoping it would get better, but it didn't. |

Anything I ever watched in class. :D
Seriously, it didn't matter what it was. It was a combination of classroom, lights off, and movie that knocked me out every time. |
Cold Mountain
|
Cold Mountain? OMG, I am amazed. I thought that movie was awesome. Although, it did take me about 10 minutes to get into it.
|
I've fallen asleep at several really good movies, not because I was bored but because I always fall asleep in cold places. I've fallen asleep watching speed metal bands because the bar was cold.
But anyway, the movie that always puts me to sleep is (ducking) Silence of the Lambs. I've tried to get through it like 4 times and I never can. |
The Little Prince (1974)
Plot summary: Based on the story by Antoine deSaint-Exupery, this magical musical fable begins as a pilot (Richard Kiley) makes a forced landing on the barren Sahara Desert. He is befriended by a "little" prince from the planet Asteroid B-612. In the days that follow, the pilot learns of the small boy's history and planet-hopping journeys in which he met a King, a businessman, an historian, and a general. It isn't until he comes to Earth that the Little Prince learns the secrets of the importance of life from a Fox (Gene Wilder), a Snake (Bob Fosse), and the pilot. My Dinner with Andre (1981) Plot summary: Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory, apparently playing themselves, share their lives over the course of an evening meal at a restaurant. Gregory, a theater director from New York, is the more talkative of the pair. He relates to Shawn his tales of dropping out, traveling around the world, and experiencing the variety of ways people live, such as a monk who could balance his entire weight on his fingertips. Shawn listens avidly, but questions the value of Gregory's seeming abandonment of the pragmatic aspects of life. |
Joe Vs. The Volcano
You've Got Mail Sleepless in Seattle I'm going to get flamed here, but Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan should never be allowed to be in a film together. Tom Hanks = awesome, Meg = eh. Together, I can't make myself stay awake/not vomitting. |
I fell asleep during Lord of the Rings. Mr. KillarneyRose still gives me crap about that

Castaway...need I say more???
