Finding Famous ADPi's via website....

So I looked over the website and I knew that Kate Capshaw, Jean Smart, Danica McKeller and Deanna Carter were sisters. But Jennie pointed out that so is Emily Proctor (Calliegh on CSI: Miami) and I must saw I am SHOCKED!!!! I love her on the show and I now can say "she's my sister"

with that said I was curious to who else y'all discovered was/were our famous sisters that you didn't expect.

Hey Bri!

That is awesome! I'm addicted to all 3 CSI's.

I've heard a rumor, not sure how true it is, that Alli Hilfigure, Tommy's Daughter is an Alpha at University of Central Florida. LIke I said, Not sure on how true it is. I also heard that Michelle Pfiefer was one, until one of our advisors realized that the school she went to never had an Adpi Chapter, so she is scratched out.

Thats all i know

Oww

Forgot one more.

If you watch Road Rules on MTV, a couple seasons ago was a Cast member named Ellen Cho. She is an Adpi from University of Iowa.

I actually emailed EO about a few ADPi's that they forgot on their "lists". A few pageant winners were ommitten and then with Ellen I just said that anyone who watches MTV would recognize her. Although I'm not to sure we would be "proud" of her behavior on these shows, impo.

I heard the same rumor about Alli Hilfiger but if it is true and she's an Alpha we wouldn't be able to "look her up" until she's a Delta and then if PO is anything like it was prior it took about a semester before the new members would be listed under member search. (Hey if Alli is a sister can we use it as an excuse to get a discount on Tommy Hilfiger clothes? :) )

So, the new website was our Christmas present from EO - how cool!! I just looked at it for the first time, and there were some really interesting bits, and some parts that need to be completed (ie: years on pagent winners, etc).

I enjoyed how so many of the other sororities have said that "Betty Crocker" was a member of their GLO, but the cookbook was written by an ADPi!

There's obviously some room for "tuning up", but it's a great start for the new site! Congratulations to the ADPi Tech Team!!

Okay so I have CSI:Miami season 1 on DVD and I decided to watch the special features last night.

They interviewed Emily and I thought I would pass on what she said about the show and her character.

(Now this is not per-vatim (did I spell that right?))

Prior to CSI:Miami Emily had limited experience with guns she had just done archery and riflery at camp. When she got the role she went through ballistics training with the LAPD and now knows more "about guns thatn she ever thought she would".

She said it took her the entirety of season one to "figure out" where Calliegh was coming from.

Just another tidbit of information, one of the producers said that they hired Emily before they had a character for her or even a script. So go our sister!!!!!!

I must say it was kind of fun watching one of the Miami episodes last night and seeing her. At one point she had her weapon raised and was going after "the bad guy". I was yelling at the tv saying "come on sister shoot him" LOL.

I have to say that I wouldn't want to mess with her considering she knows more about guns than I WILL EVER know. :)

Not a famous person, but - I did the zip code search to find ADPis in my hometown, and I found that a girl I used to know very well in high school is an ADPi tooo!!!

It has a mailing address, (which I think is the address of her parent's house.. I am not sure if she is still living there).. but is there a way to find her contact info like a phone number somewhere?

I use the white pages at www.iwon.com a lot (scroll to the bottom of the page). I'm sure that there are other places; I've just found that the most convenient.

His niece is a member at UCF, not his daughter.

I too love the new site search. I did the search from my hometown and found several people who are ADPis that I had no clue about. I was so surprised to see my neighbor from back home joined ADPi. We used to be super close back when we were kids.

Only thing I dont like is that say I want to see who from my HS class joined ADPi, I cant. Most of them moved away from home, so I have no clue their addresses. I wish you could pick a college and a year and it would tell you all the people who were initiated. That way I can look at some of the Ohio colleges I know they went to and see if they did go ADPi. I think that would be a cool thing to see who all went ADPi each year at each school.

ASUADPi 01-03-2005 01:26 PM

Shan,
Technically you can do a search by school, you just have to know the chapter (like Delta Gamma is U of A). As for initiation years, you can list up to five.

For example I wanted to see if any girls I went to high school with joined Gamma Rho. So I put Gamma Rho in chapter of initiation and then I put the years 1998, 1999 and 2000 and all the girls initiated in that time frame were listed.

You might, I'm not sure, be able to search by name if you just had an idea what year she would have been initiated.
