New Year's Eve in Atlanta?
 

Hey guys!
My sister and I are going to ring in the New Year in Atlanta. We want to go to a New Year's party were we can dance. Any ideas? my sister found this event called "beneath the noise" that sounds pretty cool. Has anyone heard of that? Is it fun?

Michelle -- I've not heard of "Beneath the Noise," (but I'm not in your age group either, so consider the source!...;) )

The thing I'm most familiar with in Atlanta for NYE is the Peach Bowl football game (there will be tons of Florida & Miami fans around) and the dropping of the giant peach (like NYC drops the apple)

Here's some scoop on the 2004 peach drop:

Atlanta's answer to New York City's Times Square celebration, Atlanta drops a giant peach, near Underground Atlanta in Downtown Atlanta. Always draws a huge crowd, and there's plenty of live entertainment before the peach drops to ring in the new year. Also catch the debut of Underground Atlanta's new clubs, with special live performances by Sister Hazel and Edwin McCain.

I'd be grateful if you could change your thread title to "New Years Eve Plans Help".

A couple of my fraternity brothers and I are going to be in Denver and I need to find some ideas of stuff to do that includes the underage-ling.

I know velvet room and chaos will be going off. I also know of a really big event going on at the north atlanta trade center, some big ass rave.

Cowboy Mouth is playing at the Marriot Marquis' event, but the cost is $135 or $200 - VIP. We'll either be there or the Peach Drop. Leaning towards the Peach Drop though - a) cause it's free and b) because of the more liberal laws at underground.
