Is it bad that I feel like I've spent too much money on presents this year?

I havent even finished my shopping and I already feel like I've spent too much. Anyone else feel this way yet? or have you not looked at your online credit card statement?

cashmoney, if you are thinking about it now, you will end up in looney toon jail before Holiday is over.

Save some money for a Nice Bottle of Whisky, Whiskey, Wine, or Liqure! You will need it when you get the fanito total!

I dont even want to hear about how much money YOU have spent.

Just think of how much everyone will like their gifts.

And vow not to buy anything in Jan.

:( i have looked at my statement and im very depressed.. i have spent too much..

but then again things just seem SOOOOO much more money this year.. every year things get more expensive and every year i seem to make less money....i dunno

after all bills for this month (essential gifts for myself such as rent, food, electricity) i will be left with a grand total of 25 dollars in my bank account..
and i know my cheap relatives will only give me cheap presents and no money...

but seriously its more about the thought and the time spent with family than anything... so in january ill be a very poor student and satisfied
(hopefully ;))

I think I spent WAY too much, but I know the gifts will be greatly appreciated. In years past, I haven't had the luxury of being able to spend WAY too much. I think I spent way too much on just my mom, but she's worth it so it doesn't matter. I'm scared to look at my credit card bill though!

Thank god I'm spending Xmas with my bf, so I only have presents to get for him. And since he's picky and wants me to save my money, I didn't have to spend that much. I was going to bake cookies and send them to my family, but that was going to be a lot of money with buying the cookie tins, and the different cookie supplies, boxes for shipping, and shipping rates. So I just got rid of that idea. lol.

I'm lucky that I got a lot of good deals on good stuff. I bought Partylite stuff from AXO Alum when she had her sale and saved it all for Christmas gifts. Regularly, those things cost a lot of money.

And homestarrunner.com got a nice check too... probably spent way too much there.

I did it without credit cards this year, and I feel GREAT about it! I upped my W-4 deductions for the last 5 checks of the year, saved that money for Christmas, and will still get a pretty good tax refund, which won't have to go to paying credit cards! Phew! I don't feel like I spent too much, for the first time in ... forever!

Try having to buy for a girlfriend, 6 fuck buddies and your family. I feel bad for my boy.

Since when do fuck buddies get a Christmas present?

yeah, I probably did. But then again, I don't really care. This is the one time of year when I will splurge and just buy stuff because I can. I don't spend money AT ALL during school (I don't keep any food in my room aside from Coffee Creamer and Diet Pop...partially to help my diet and partially to help my wallet). So I think I can justify dropping some serious $$ during christmas. I also have a philosophy that it is ROTTEN to give people things they "need" at christmas, unless otherwise asked for. Like...let's see...underwear (my grandmother was famous for that one). Christmas for me is about buying stuff for other people that they won't buy for themselves. I know my dad wouldn't buy a Tempurpedic pillow, but he would enjoy one. Thankfully, Mr. PhoenixAzul hooked me up with that! But I dont' feel so bad for dropping dough once a year to make people happy.

I feel like I spent more than normal this year, but thats bc this is the first year that I have been out of school and had funds available.

So I guess you could say that I am making up for the past four years when I was a poor college student.

I am just going to make sure that I cut down on my spending the next few months to save money, bc I havent saved any the past two months. (I want to go on a nice vacation this summer since I didnt go last)

I do! I don't know where my money keeps going... between weddings, baby showers, and traveling to Florida every month for the damn weddings and showers... the Xmas gifts, though costly, are just the icing on the cake.

I was sooo good about avoiding credit card debt until now! I really hate carrying a balance on my cards.
