Gifts for students

We are working extra hard on publicity and public relations this year. We are at a small, not-very-Greek school, and being the newest NPC sorority, we need a lot of publicity.

A few things we've done:
- Study breaks in the quad at lunchtime (we give out free cookies and pizza)
- Keeping our bulletin board (by the quad; each GLO has one to put photos, etc. in) cute
- Completely revamping our website ( http://www.cbu.edu/Clubs/AST )
- Letters and pledge pin days

I would like for our colony to give out something cute to the students (or maybe just the girl residents... handing them out door to door or whatnot), but I don't know what.

We don't have a big budget, and our fundraising is going towards mainly social this semester. For spring, we are planning a breakfast for the commuters a week before our C.O.B. parties in January.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. :)

Tau love and mine, Marly

PS - Let's keep this board going! What's new with your chapters and colonies?

Thanks!

That is such a cute idea! I like the study tips thing too... plus, that'll make em hang onto our information ;)

I know it's kind of late, but... an idea for a good PR and fundraiser is "Finals Survival Packs." Essentially your group sends parents an order form for these packs a couple of months before the end of the semester. The packs can include cookies, drinks, maybe pizza gift certs, and anything good for an all night cram session! Then the week before and during finals you deliver the packs (wearing letters of course!) with a flyer with the study tips and your contact info.
Maybe pairing with another group (another fraternity for example) might defray some costs.

Our SGA already does that... :/ but it is still a cute idea! I'm sure it would be great at another school. :)
