Leadership Convention
It's the weekend of Feb 25. Who's going?

I want to go, but, ::sigh::. My chapter, the sisters take forever to pay thier dues, and therefore they won't let us go. I really do want to go however, and I am really pissed off

Why won't they let you go? I don't understand how they keep you from personally attending?

But what I don't understand, is how they can keep you, as a sister, from personally paying your money to attend?

They won't let us register until our dues are 100% paid, I'm assuming because soem of the money egoes to offset soem ofthe cost to keep theout of pocket cost down for us? If anything changes and they let us go, I will be there for sure

We're totally talking about two different things. I'm asking you, what it keeping you as one person from telling nationals you are coming and paying the full price, which is what any sister would have to do not being sent by their chapter. You keep using the term 'us'. But what I am saying, is what is keeping you personally from paying whatever amount is costs to come down, not as representative of your chapter, but merely as an active sister?

From what I was told, they will not let anyone from my chapter register because we don't have everything paid up. It's messed up, esp because I am one of the few sisters that trys to get her dues in early, even though I haven't been working this sesmter I was the first one to be paid up, but that's life, right? As a chapter, we aren't covering the amount for anyone to go, which is a little annoying, but once again, thats life. I'm upset and pissed about it, but at the same time, it's over the weekend of my boyfriend's birthday, so I'll live......but if anything changes and they let me, he knows that I'll be there, and he's okay with it :D
