Greekpaddles.com
Anyone ever used these guys? Prices seem good. And the paddles they're displaying as samples are exactly like the ones previous classes of my chapter have received after ordering them through the local Greek store, which makes me wonder if they use these guys and then just add $100 to the price.

Having worked at a Greek store when I was a student, I can assure you that, yes, they do order from the same few paddle companies (we used to order items for the store from Paddle Tramps, mainly), and the price gets jacked up due to the qty ordered. In my experience, the retail store tacked another 25-30% onto their cost to get the final price.

We order ours from CollegiateGifts.com and whenever they have their Free Shipping Plus 20% off per item, each encraved paddle comes out no more than $25...

Those are great for big/little paddles--but they don't seem set up to do pledge class paddles--especially ones with room for 18 names

I know that my sorority's classes have to find their own wood for the paddle. Our paddle (spring 2000) had a member's brother cut it out of a board that we got a a lumber store.

sadly...we didn't do paddles....hmph

I paid about that much for my plain paddle, but then once i bought the paints and the tramps it came out to be like $45!
It looks awesome though and I can't wait to give it to my big this weekend |
